PAINTER

Kartick Chandra Pyne

" An introvert, prolific and highly original modern painter"

Kartick Pyne is a very special artist. He has been painting for the last four decades. Largely keeping himself far from the limelight, his painting has continuously reflected the kind of idea and imagination, form and image that are all very personal. This fills us with wonder, and he is without a parallel at home and abroad. His form and image are all purely indigenous. A world of supernatural beauty, birds and trees are found in his paintings side by side with a wonderful use of colour and imagery. And he has drawn this all with strength and suppleness.
