Surjeet Kaur Choyal

Born in 1948, in Jaipur, Surjeet Choyal completed her M.A (Painting) in 1969  from M.S. University Faculty of Fine Arts, Baroda as a non-collegiate student 1970-71. Being married to the art family, Surjeet has her own style and approach to art. Her works mainly deal with photo-realism and she is known for commenting on socio-political issues and antiquity through her artworks.

She has been awarded the Rajasthan Lalit Kala Academy Award, Mahakaushal Kala Parishad, Airport Authority of India, All India Fine Arts& Craft Society, New Delhi, She has Exhibited at Lalit Kala Academi, New Delhi, AIFACS, New Delhi, Bombay Art Society, North Zone Artists Exhibition organized by N.Z.C.C., The Frame-at visual art centre, Hong Kong and many other places. Her collection has been exhibited at the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, Sahitya Kala Parishad, New Delhi, L.K.A. New Delhi, Air India, Airport Authority of India, Taj Mahal Hotel, Fukuoka Museum of Modern Art, Japan (Asian Wing), Bombay and several private collections in India and Abroad.
