My work with the abstraction of light and colours portray urbanization, the vertical and horizontal swathes of colour and its absence speak of the tall buildings and expanding inhibition clusters that are taking over all available space, be these green spaces or waste spaces. This encroachment on the rural and the natural habitat is suffocating the life out of not just the environs but also cultural lebensraum or living spaces. Living in a congested country as we do right now, we can’t but both rejoice in humankind, as quail at the shortage of the particular breathing space in which are born the buddhas or those perceptions as are humankind’s crowning glory.
