Artist Biodata

Vandana Rakesh born in 1967, Delhi. 1990 – BFA, College of arts, Delhi.1994- Clay modeling & Ceramic from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Delhi. Participated in several National & International level competitions for paintings & drawings organized by SKP, AIFACS, LKA, Delhi & a few other organizations, since 1987.Invited by LKA to participate in an Exhibition to be shown in Syria. Her Solo Exhibitions are – 1997-98- Triveni Gallery, Delhi. 2000-2002-2012 – Dhoomimal Art Centre, Delhi. Group Shows; 2018-India art Festival, Mumbai, Pioneer Art Gallery; 2016-Affordable art Fair, Singapore, Art Gallie; 2015-India art Fair (Head show), Delhi; 2011-Portrait of an artist, 2000-The Millennium Mask show, 2003-‘Kites’-celebration of freedom, organized by Dhoomimal Art Centre, Delhi; 1998- Husband & wife (2persons) show, 1999-Art& Cinema, 1999-Group show at Gallerie 21,Corkstreet, London, organized by Aarushi Arts, Delhi; 2001-‘The Harmony show’ organized by Tina Ambani, Mumbai; 2012-‘Memoirs of an Era’-Show organized by Dhoomimal Art Centre. Charity Shows: 1997- People for animals, by Ms.Maneka Gandhi, Delhi; 1998-by Prayas (vocational institute for mentally handicapped) at Delhi & Jaipur; 2001-Alumini’s & Faculty’s show for LG/CM Relief Fund, by College of Arts, Delhi, 2019-Art for Odisha, organized by Metaspace Studio, Delhi (traveling show at Delhi, in collaboration with AIFACS, Mumbai and Bangalore).
