Abstraction—an art form free from defined shapes and forms—exists between the seen and the unseen. It takes many shapes or none at all, evolving through an artist’s vision. Sometimes it’s a splash of color, sometimes a fluid structure in between, and sometimes minimal strokes that speak volumes.
With this in mind, Beyond Form brings together three artists—each distinct in their approach yet connected through their exploration of abstraction. This exhibition challenges the idea of definition and form, embracing the fluidity of perception.
The first artist, Balkrishna Patel, presents minimalist abstraction. A master of "less is more," his blocks of color may seem random, but each stroke is carefully placed, depicting the universe as seen from afar. The negative space in his works gives them power—showing both control and freedom.

S.R. Bhushan, known as a master of color, painted purely for the sake of art. His works carry no philosophical weight or technical puzzles; they are raw expressions of how he saw the world. His collages are an escape from reality—bursts of color, torn magazine scraps, and fragments of the familiar. Objects of everyday use appear out of context, creating new meanings for the viewer to interpret.
Vivek Tembe stands between form and abstraction. His works are fluid and dreamlike, always on the edge of transformation. There’s an anxiety in his paintings, a feeling that if you reach out to touch the form, it might dissolve into nothing. His art captures the moment just before something takes shape—or disappears entirely—creating a sense of mystery and unease.
Through Beyond Form, we invite you to see abstraction differently. To move beyond fixed shapes, to embrace fluidity, and to experience art in a way that is both in the moment and beyond reality. Walk through Balkrishna Patel’s minimalist cosmos, feel the tension of Vivek Tembe’s still forms, and immerse yourself in Bhushan’s world of color and raw expression.
